Our mission is to help young cyclists pursue their passion for cycling through financial support and resources. We are committed to enabling access, promoting inclusivity, and assisting junior cycling programs and participants based on individual needs. By providing grants, we aim to cultivate a vibrant junior cycling community encouraging growth, development, and excellence in the sport.
Promote Youth Participation: Encourage and enable young individuals to engage in cycling as a sport and form healthy lifestyle habits, regardless of financial barriers.
Skill Development: Provide resources and opportunities for skill development and training among junior cyclists.
Access and Inclusivity: Ensure accessibility and inclusivity for all youth interested in cycling regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds.
Community Engagement: Foster a community of support and camaraderie among young cyclists through events and programs.
Grant Structure: Bike Legal will award up to a maximum of $500.00 to each winning essay. Maximum funds available per calendar year is currently $4,000.00.
Application Process: All individuals applying for grants must be under 18 with a current racing license or cycling club affiliation. Each person applying for grant funds must submit an essay describing why they should be awarded a grant. The essay must include:
*Name
*Address
*Email Address
*The impact cycling has in their life, why they are requesting the grants, specifically how the grant money will be used, and any attachments supporting their statement (photos, club/team website, and any supporting document.)
Selection Process: Bike Legal will appoint a committee to review all valid applications and determine the award of all grants.
Utilization of Grants: Grant funds must be used specifically for cycling (equipment purchase, training fees, competition entry fees, etc.)
Application Period: Applications for calendar year 2024 will begin on December 1, 2023 and end on 11/1/2024 or when all funds are exhausted. Submit all applications to Info@bikelegalfirm.com.
Review and Selection: Upon receipt of the application, a grant award decision will be made within 10 days. The grantee will be notified directly.
Program Execution: Remittance of the grant will be made after the grantee has been notified and accepted.
